Job summary

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is hiring a part-time Criminal Justice Specialist for the Judicial Operations Bureau. You will monitor security systems, control access, screen people and property, assist visitors, and respond to emergencies to keep courthouse operations secure.

Ideal candidates are alert, dependable, and able to communicate effectively while maintaining professional service in a security-focused environment. Starting pay is $21.43 per hour, with shift work required.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent diploma
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license
• Credit check required

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, access control, and CCTV to protect courthouse facilities.
• Assist visitors and provide information while enforcing security procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and follow Sheriff’s Office policies and emergency protocols.
• Escort staff and visitors as needed and ensure badges or passes are properly displayed.
• Log and notify Judicial staff of deliveries and security incidents.
