Job summary

Milwaukee Federal Courthouse is seeking a Custodial Worker to perform daily cleaning duties in a professional setting. Location is Milwaukee Federal Courthouse with on-site work and a flexible Day Shift schedule. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of janitorial/custodial experience or completion of a training program.

The role includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet maintenance, and periodic floor care under supervision. Reporting to the Project Manager/Site Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months janitorial/custodial experience or completion of a janitorial training program.

Responsibilities

• Cleans sweeps and mops floors according to cleaning schedule.
• Washes mirrors, stalls, walls, sinks and baseboards as described in the cleaning contract.
• Vacuums, shampoos and scrubs carpets.
• Conducts periodic buffing, stripping and waxing of floors.
• Cleans water fountains, telephone booths, astray, and janitorial closets.
