Who You Are:

Extremely professional, responsible, and experienced individual. The Security Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff and protecting community property.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensures the safety and well-being of residents and employees.
• Ensures the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Patrols the facility on foot.
• Handles security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
• Professionally answers phones using our phone etiquette protocol.
• Greets guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
• Builds, improves and maintains effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
• Answers questions and assists guests and employees.
• Responds to fire, panic, and smoke alarms; notifies appropriate departments and agencies where necessary.
• Responds to apartment calls.
• Maintains reports and records; assures confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents and visitors entering and exiting vehicles when possible.
• Performs security lock procedures on apartments when required.
• Conducts interior and exterior rounds of Westminster property.
• Provides escorts to and from parking areas when required or as requested.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Previous Security Guard experience preferred.
• Position requires standing and/or walking for the majority of the shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
• As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all required License at all times.
