Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/return shopping carts.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify maintenance of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product questions.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines, and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly, act with honesty and integrity, and seek assistance when needed.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
