Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at check out for customers.
2. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout.
3. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
4. Offer to help customers with loading bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves.
8. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
9. Clean spills, collect, and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
10. Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
11. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
12. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
13. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues, and notifying management.
14. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
15. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
16. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
17. Adhere to all applicable laws and company policies.
18. Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
19. Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
20. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
21. Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
22. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
23. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
