Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of all store areas.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues to management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions about products.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
