Responsibilities

1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damaging contents.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves and gather/balance shopping carts.
7. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas inside and outside.
8. Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location.
9. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections.
11. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
12. Follow all legal and company guidelines, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, and manage conflicts calmly.
13. Support diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
14. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
