Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer help to customers in loading bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts.
7. Clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
8. Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
9. Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain equipment.
11. Create a welcoming environment, answer questions, and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
12. Follow all laws and company policies.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
14. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
