Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and informing customers of grocery specials.
• Returning merchandise to store shelves and gathering bascarts for return.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness of all areas.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Following all legal and company guidelines, and working cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Supporting and assisting diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
