Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and bagging at least five items per bag.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, inside and outside the store.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions and providing support, especially to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues as needed.
