Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and aiming for at least five items per bag.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
7. Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts for return.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection inside and outside the store.
9. Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
10. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
11. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
13. Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions.
14. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
19. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
