Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and items are bagged efficiently, aiming for at least five items per bag.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer help to customers with loading bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts appropriately.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when resolving issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
