The responsibilities of the Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger include:

• Bagging groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Informing customers of grocery specials.
• Returning merchandise to store shelves and gathering carts for return.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
• Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practicing preventive maintenance on equipment and reporting repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment by answering questions about products.
• Reporting safety risks, safety issues, and illegal activities such as theft or fraud.
• Following all laws and company guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodations.
