Job summary

Hugos Family Marketplace is seeking a friendly Courtesy Clerk to ensure a positive shopping experience. You will bag groceries, assist customers to their vehicles, maintain store cleanliness, and support team members to keep aisles organized and safe.

The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, clear communication, and a willingness to learn new tasks. Both full-time and part-time openings may be available, with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• No formal education required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• No specific experience required
• Previous retail experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries following store policy to ensure safe packing
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed for bagging and carrying groceries
• Assist customers by carrying groceries to their vehicles when requested
• Retrieve and organize grocery carts from the parking lot
• Collaborate with team to maintain smooth workflow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store
• Provide friendly and courteous customer service
• Be reliable and punctual to ensure coverage
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new tasks
• Pay attention to detail and safety protocols
• Maintain stamina to stand and move items for extended periods
• Uphold safety awareness for customers and staff
