Job summary

Gwinnett County Superior Court Division 12 is seeking a Staff Attorney to assist the Judge by conducting legal research, analysis, and document preparation related to cases, statutes, records, and related information. This position will be effective January 4, 2027.

Responsibilities include performing and analyzing legal research, reviewing pleadings, drafting and proofreading documents, supporting the Court during conferences, motions hearings, and trials, and maintaining the Rules of

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Five years experience as an attorney required.
• Member in good standing with the Georgia Bar.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze legal research.
• Analyze pleadings (motions and briefs) and make recommendations regarding dispositions of matters.
• Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents.
• Support the Court during conferences, motions hearings, and trials.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with law enforcement personnel, county employees, elected officials, the public, and other interested parties.
• Maintain the Rules of Professional Conduct.
