Lexington County Sheriff's Office seeks qualified deputies to enforce laws and protect court facilities in Lexington County. The role includes court security, inmate transport, processing of civil paperwork, and responding to incidents with professional conduct in high-stress environments. A Class I LE certification or equivalent, plus a valid SC driver’s license, is required.

Competenze

• Must be 21 years old, or within 3 months of turning 21.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must be a South Carolina resident, or will move to SC upon hire.
• Must have one of the following: Class 1-LE from SC Academy, certified law enforcement from another state, Military Police experience, 3 years military experience, or an Associates degree or higher.

Mansioni

• Enforces all local, federal and state laws relating to public safety and welfare; performs all duties in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provides security during court proceedings and monitors for disruptive behavior.
• Maintains security and integrity of courthouse and conducts building inspections for security.
• Screenss entrants and confiscates weapons, contraband, or suspicious items.
• Transports inmates to and from court and facilitates processing of civil paperwork.
• Attends periodic training and maintains proficiency in the use of firearms.
