The Louisiana Supreme Court, located in the French Quarter, seeks candidates with a minimum of three years law enforcement experience for Court Security Officers with the ability to work flexible days, shifts and holidays. Position requires Current Peace Officers Standards Training--P.O.S.T. certificate from an accredited Louisiana police academy along with strong investigative and report writing skills. Responsibilities include law enforcement related duties to ensure safety and protection of judicial personnel and visitors on-site. Duties include making rounds for inspection and security of our facility, grounds, and parking areas as needed, screening building entrants via electronic screening stations, using security card access system and video surveillance systems. Also performs personal protective details on occasion and writes up incident reports as needed.

Candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office, especially Word documents and Outlook email. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Professional demeanor is a must. Must be able to pass background check and skills testing and possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license. May require travel on occasion.
