Court Deputy/Bailiff is a sworn law enforcement officer (Deputy Sheriff) of the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office and is responsible for maintaining law and order in all assigned courts, under mandate of the Sheriff, and in accordance with guidelines set forth by the State of New Hampshire.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of general work experience Law Enforcement background preferred or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledges, skills and abilities.
Valid New Hampshire driver's license. Must pass an in-depth background check.
Proficiency and qualification in the use of firearms, restraining devices, secondary compliance equipment, and other weapons as directed.
Must complete background and required pre-employment screenings.
