The City of Euless, TX seeks a Courtroom Security Officer to help maintain a safe courtroom environment. Under supervision, you will operate the courtroom metal detector and ensure entrants comply with policies.
You will interact professionally with the public and staff, inspect belongings, monitor entrance and exit, and complete required paperwork. Qualifications include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean background per city policy.
Under general supervision, the courtroom security officer contacts the public upon their arrival to the courtroom. The courtroom security officer operates and maintains the courtroom metal detector to provide a safe and secure courtroom environment for citizens, defendants, and court staff by ensuring that everyone entering the courtroom complies with established policies and procedures.
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have never been convicted, put on court-ordered community supervision, or probation for any criminal offense above a class B misdemeanor or been convicted, put on court-ordered community supervision, or probation for any class B misdemeanor within the last ten years from the date of the final court order. Must have never been convicted, placed on deferred adjudication, or probation for any theft or assault family violence offense. Must be in compliance with drug use and tattoo policies of the Euless Police Department. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and/or acquire a Texas Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record as defined by city policy.
Employee works in the building. Operates equipment such as metal detectors or metal detector wands. May routinely lift objects as part of regular duties. Lifting may sometimes require lifting above shoulder height. Weights range between 10 and 20 pounds occasionally.
