Job summary

Elko County is seeking a District and Family Court Supervisor to oversee Judicial Assistants, Bailiffs, and Clerks, ensuring efficient court operations and accurate case management. The role requires coordinating with the Court Administrator, supervising staff, and maintaining calendars and records with strict adherence to procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a strong leadership background in a legal or court setting, plus experience with case management systems and policy development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of court/legal office experience with leadership role.
• Associate/Bachelor’s in criminal justice, public/business administration preferred.
• Experience with case management/records systems preferred.
• Ability to supervise Judicial Assistants, Bailiffs and Clerks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise court staff and coordinate daily activities.
• Direct plans, schedules, and training for court personnel.
• Provide guidance on policy, procedures, and case processes.
• Reception duties, public interactions, and documentation consistency.
• Manage calendar, dockets, and ensure timely proceedings.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and court rules.
