Job summary

The State of Vermont is seeking a Court Operations Manager (COM) in Barre to supervise unit staff and coordinate court operations across divisions, while ensuring adherence to policies and collective bargaining agreements. You will work with judges, clerks, and public agencies to plan resources, manage daily cash flow, review invoices, and approve time and expenses.

Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical, secretarial or data entry experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a legal setting or mastery of office technology.
• College training may be substituted for the work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily staff within one or more Divisions of the Unit and coordinate Court operations.
• Operate within Judicial Branch policies and with the Court Administrator’s guidance.
• Interact with the presiding judge, Judicial Branch colleagues, and public/private partners.
• Oversee daily cash management; review invoices; approve time sheets and expenses.
