Job summary

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Pre-Trial Services Liaison to support clients on the Winnebago Indian Reservation. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Tribal Court Administrator and focuses on monitoring throughout the court process and linking clients to services.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or progress toward one), grant project management experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage a caseload of about 50 clients with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree (or progress toward degree) in criminal justice, human services, social services, or related fields.
• At least two years of experience or an acceptable combination of experience and education.
• Grant project management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
• Mature judgement and self-starting initiative.
• Confidentiality in handling client information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate case file records and grant-related reports.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 50 clients.
• Collaborate with Probation, Recovery Program, Behavioral Health and other services.
• Interview clients to assess needs, strengths, and employment.
• Assist with applying for social services benefits.
• Provide transportation to appointments, interviews, and court hearings.
• Maintain communication with Winnebago Police Department.
• Occasional research and clerical duties.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with court documents.
