Personnel Board of Jefferson County is seeking a Magistrate to serve as liaison between the municipal court and the public, handling complaints, reviewing documents, and assisting in court proceedings. Qualifications

Certification in Alabama Municipal Court Clerk and Magistrate (AAOC) or willingness to enroll in AAOC-approved certification within 6 months
Experience accepting and/or reporting financial processes (cash receipts, reporting, and collections)
Willingness to obtain NCIC certification within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

Oversees alternatives sentencing programs and collaborates with local entities to set program goals
Enter and manage case information in case management software and attach documents to ensure proper rulings and payments
Act as liaison between the municipal court and the public by handling inquiries, payments, and information requests
