The Superior Court of California, County of Imperial, seeks a Certified Court Interpreter to provide verbal interpretations and sight translations of legal documents in court. This role requires a valid certification and strong communication skills in English and a designated second language, ensuring effective court proceedings.
About the Position
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, provide verbal interpretations of questions, testimony, arguments and other courtroom proceedings for defendants, judges, counsel, jurors, witnesses and others; sight translation of written materials and legal documents in the courtroom.

LICENSES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Court Interpreter Certification from the Judicial Council of California.
A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Court's vehicle insurance policy.
Knowledge of:Applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and have submitted required documents; eligible candidates may be invited to participate in an oral interview. Additional steps for the selection process will include a drug test, background and reference checks.
