Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking Mandarin Dialects Interpreters to provide real-time interpretation in various court settings across the United States. The role requires high professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity, with on-site interpretation as needed for court hearings and related proceedings.

The position is part-time hourly, remote in the United States, offering $75.00-$95.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of court interpretation experience in immigration, trafficking, hearings.
• Native or near-native fluency in English and Mandarin Dialects: Min, Wu, Yue, Jin, Gan, Hakka, Xiang, Huizhou, Pinghua.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act impartially.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real time, preserving meaning, intent, and tone.
• Facilitate cross-cultural understanding by clarifying non-verbal cues and culture-specific concepts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in all interactions, consistent with regulations and ethical standards.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with agency and contractual protocols.
• Comply with all applicable laws, government policies, and codes of professional conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
