Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking Mandarin Dialects Interpreters to support court proceedings across the United States on a remote, part-time hourly basis. The role requires strong English and Mandarin fluency, confidentiality, and the ability to interpret accurately in real time.

Interpreters may work in hearings, pretrials, sentencing, jail visits, and other legal settings, on-call within 48 hours, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of court interpretation, immigration, trafficking, hearings.
• Native or near-native fluency in English and Mandarin Dialects: Min, Wu, Yue, Jin, Gan, Hakka, Xiang, Huizhou, Pinghua.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act impartially.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication in real time, preserving meaning and tone.
• Clarify non-verbal cues to support cross-cultural understanding.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all interactions.
• Complete required logs, reports, and documentation.
• Follow applicable laws, policies, and codes of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
