Job summary

Hawaii State Judiciary in Honolulu seeks a Court Fiscal Services Officer (SR-28) to lead fiscal, budget and accounting services for the First Circuit.

You will advise the Deputy/Chief Court Administrator, develop and implement processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with officials and external agencies.

This senior role requires accounting expertise, supervisory experience, and the ability to design systems that improve financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 12 semester hours in accounting and/or auditing; substitutions may apply.
• Accounting experience: Three and a half years of progressively responsible professional accounting or auditing experience (may include university teaching).
• Supervisory/ Specialist/ Fiscal management experience: professional experience supervising accounting/auditing staff; specialized accounting/auditing work; and involvement in budget and long-range financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates fiscal/budget/accounting services for the First Circuit.
• Advises the Deputy/Chief Court Administrator on fiscal/budget/accounting issues and liaises with administration and external agencies.
• Develops and implements systems to evaluate and improve fiscal services; ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and guidelines.
