Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; certification or postsecondary education preferred.
  • Must type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office; Adobe products preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Previous legal experience in private or government sector is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Enter cases into computer and prepare traffic case files.
  • File traffic cases and docket all case events onto a computer - from filing through appeal.
  • Monitor the issuance and recall of warrants.
  • Schedule hearings for individuals who have not or refuse to enter pleas.
  • Collection of fine payments as well as payment arrangements.
  • Issue receipts for payment of fines and court costs.
  • Prepare and file appeals to County Court.
  • Summons juries for all traffic related jury trials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
