Missouri Judiciary is recruiting an Apprentice Court Clerk to perform entry-level duties in a court using an electronic filing system. Work initially is under close supervision while the incumbent learns general office knowledge and specific court policies and procedures.

The role involves court case processing, data entry into the court information system, scheduling hearings, handling notices, and providing exceptional customer service to the public, attorneys, and court personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning.
• Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
• Able to learn general court policies and procedures and perform duties under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical clerical work in civil docketing and court operations, including scheduling hearings and reviewing files.
• Enter data into court information system, prepare warrants, notices, and docket entries.
• Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants and the public by phone or in person.
