Job summary

The Missouri Judiciary is recruiting for an Apprentice Court Clerk to perform entry-level duties in a court, utilizing an electronic filing system. Work under close supervision while learning office knowledge and court policies, including processing case files, reviewing documents, and supporting a circuit judge with responsibilities within the division.

You will handle financial record keeping, prepare court-related documents, and ensure smooth court operations in a high-volume environment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning.
  • Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

Responsibilities

  • Performs case processing in receiving and initiating case files; prepares warrants, summonses and garnishments and executions, bond settings and docket control.
  • Reviews legal documents for necessary information and filing; determines required processing per court rules.
  • Performs accounting duties in receiving and disbursing monies and prepares financial reports.
  • Prepares documents related to court operations including court orders, calendars, notices of hearings, or reports; queues electronically filed proceedings for processing.
