Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Court Attorney located in Bronx, NY.

Court Attorneys research and analyze legal issues and questions and perform other related duties. They serve in a confidential capacity. This position is assigned to Hon. Harold Bahr, Civil Court Judge located in Bronx County Criminal Court. Duties include but are not limited to:

• conferencing cases with attorneys and pro se litigants
• assisting parties in reaching a settlement
• conducting legal research
• conferring with and advising the judge on legal issues
• drafting orders and legal opinions to be reviewed by the court
• assisting the judge during bench and jury trials
• preparing jury charges and instructions
• conferencing proposed jury charges with attorneys
• drafting responses and/or responding to inquiries
• general clerical and office duties
