Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Course Developer to support Distance Learning by developing instructional materials and ensuring accessibility. You will collaborate with Instructional Designers, instructors, and subject-matter experts to craft engaging course content within LMS shells.

The role requires two years of related experience and an Associate Degree or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This position is based on campus with a focus on distance education initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with Instructional Designers, instructors and subject-matter experts to develop instructional materials
  • Complete tasks assigned to build and develop materials in the LMS course shells
  • Ensure the timely development of accessible instructional materials
  • Assist with follow-up and support to instructors as they incorporate materials into their courses.
  • Assist in course design, development and review process.
  • Assist in the development of training and workshop materials.
  • Compiles data and produces routine reports or documents.
  • Provide support for college wide DE activities and events.
  • Other duties and committee work as assigned.
