Job summary

TPC San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country seeks friendly team members to assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golf experience and needs, ensuring smooth, enjoyable sessions on the course.

Greet guests, promote the service philosophy, and communicate safety information calmly. Monitor pace of play and assist with course knowledge while supporting special projects as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge of golf and country club experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs smoothly and is enjoyable.
• Greet and welcome all Members and Guests and positively promote the service philosophy of the TPC and PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc.
• Communicate emergency and safety information to Members and Guests in a calm and clear professional manner when alarm is sounded
• Observe play on the golf course and ensure the standard is communicated and maintained daily as it relates to pace of play
• Assist Members and Guests with information that may help them play the course (e.g., yardage markers on sprinkler heads to middle of green)
• Special projects or other duties as assigned

Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, TPC San Antonio is a private resort, accessible exclusively to Members, their guests and guests of the adjoining JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. TPC San Antonio provides our Members and Resort guests the avenue to enjoy 36-holes of championship golf, along with a host of resort benefits, from fine dining to luxury spa treatments to hours at the on-site Riverbluff Water Experience. TPC San Antonio opened in January 2010 with two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by two of golf's most innovative architects: Pete Dye and Greg Norman. Both courses have played host to TOUR events with The Oaks course serving as the host venue of the PGA TOUR's Valero Texas Open since 2010.

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 25 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
