Job Duties
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.
Job Conditions
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record as per policy. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
