Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Courier to operate company vehicles for courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages within the station's service area in Ohio. Responsibilities include verifying shipments, adhering to FedEx service features, and providing outstanding customer service on assigned routes.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least 21 years of age with the ability to lift 50 lbs and read English for safety and communications.
Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features; covers all assigned routes within the station's service area; provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must refer to policy 4-48 for specific requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely.
$22.30 per hour.
