Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Preferably, thorough knowledge of the station's service area. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required as customer contact is necessary. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Specific requirements apply to employees operating a company vehicle; refer to policy 4-48 for details. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as per state requirements and have a good driving record. This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Starting Pay: $21.36 per hour.

Additional Details

Work schedule: Monday through Friday, various hours.
