Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: thorough knowledge of the station's service area.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier skills.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications per federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as per state requirements and have a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
