Job Duties

1. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Performs related customer service functions.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as per state requirements and have a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional details include full-time shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 8 PM, various shifts.
