Job Duties:
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift: Will vary due to the nature of the shift. Monday - Saturday with a day off during the week.

Requirements: Will be required to obtain a Class B CDL with HME (Hazardous Materials Endorsement) within 90 days.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license according to state requirements and have a good driving record. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
