Job description

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs; maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance; good human relations and verbal communication skills; thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred; adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods; at least 21 years old; sufficient English reading and speaking skills for traffic signs, communication with traffic safety officials, and official inquiries.

Job Conditions: Neat appearance required due to customer contact; must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations; requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations; valid driver's license with a good driving record; ability to work alertly and safely.

Preferred Qualifications: Pay Range: $23.50 - $36.50 USD/hour. Typical shifts from 6 am to 6:30 pm, 2 days off, 4-5 hours per shift.
