Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Part Time Swing Driver (AM or PM) to operate company vehicles, deliver and pick up packages, and provide courteous service. Hours vary by route.

Job description

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Part Time Swing Driver / AM or PM / Hours will vary.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Note: there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 21 years of age, consistently lift 50 pounds, High School / GED Diploma, Valid Driver’s License consistently for the past two years. Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.

Starting Pay: $22.30
