Job Title: Courier

Job Duties:

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred; ability to demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions:

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work alertly and safely in a constant state of alertness.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications may include experience and skills relevant to the role, with compensation ranging from $22.43 to $34.84 per hour. The work schedule involves four 10-hour shifts between Monday and Saturday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a day off to be determined.
