Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required as customer contact is necessary. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Specific requirements for operating a company vehicle are detailed in policy 4-48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license as per state requirements and have a good driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position. Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am-1:00pm.

Pay Transparency: This salary range ($24.57-$38.16) is an estimate of the current starting salary across all locations. Actual pay depends on experience, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Additional Details: Work hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am-1:00pm.
