Job description

Job Duties

1. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Performs related customer service functions.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record as per policy 4-48. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM; minimum of 21 years old; high school diploma or GED; clean driving record for 3 years; ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.

Pay Transparency

This range is an estimate of the current starting salary across all locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Additional pay, premiums, or bonuses may be available. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

$21.36/hour, with a range of $21.36 to $33.18.
