Job summary

FedEx is hiring for a Swing Courier position. You will operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring conformance to service standards and providing strong customer service across assigned routes. A SIDA badge is required, with shifts likely ranging from early morning to evening hours.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED. Candidates should have at least 6 months courier experience, be at least 21, and hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Job Responsibilities

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a M-F DOT Swing Courier position with hours of availability between 0300‑2100. A SIDA badge will be required. If you do not have one, you will be required to obtain one.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance is required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
