Job description

Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license according to state requirements for the vehicle type assigned and have a good driving record as per policy.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Refer to policy 4-48 for specific vehicle operation requirements.

This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Transparency: This range is an estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $21.36 - $33.18 per hour

Additional Details: Monday - Friday, variable shifts. Starting wage is $21.36/hr.
