Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license according to state requirements for the vehicle type assigned, with a good driving record as outlined in policy.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods. Ability to demonstrate area knowledge. Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, including specific requirements for operating a company vehicle (refer to policy 4-48).

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
