On-call Courier opportunity with flexible hours available in Bend, OR!

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance our team.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance on company vehicles and transport devices.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Document operations and complete necessary reports.
  • Assist with training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.66 Per Hour DOE

Schedule: Typical courier shifts run between 10:30 AM and 8:15 PM. There are no minimum hours required or guaranteed.

Location: 920 Emkay Dr.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions; Clean driving record
  • Ability to drive in inclement weather
  • Navigation, punctuality, and abilityto follow detailed instructions
  • Professional driving experience preferred
  • Candidates with a demonstrated history of consistent employment, marked by continuity and minimal career gaps, will be strongly preferred

General Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
  • Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle. Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
  • Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.
  • Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.

OHSA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
