Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a part-time driver/operator in Tupelo, MS. You will deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency, ensuring shipments meet FedEx service standards.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and English language proficiency for signs and directions. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–12:30 PM. EOE.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages.

• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
• Operate vehicles not regulated by FMCSA 391.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
