Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will check shipments for FedEx service conformance and engage in related customer service functions while operating non-regulated vehicles.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, read and speak English, and good communication. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 3:30 PM–10:00 PM with accommodations available.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages with equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
• Provide related customer service functions.
• Operate vehicles not regulated by FMCSA Section 391.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Part-Time, Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 330PM-10PM
